Actor Jagan moved on to the big screens from the small screens, and he is a well-known face amongst the Tamil audience as he has appeared in multiple supporting roles. The actor's fame rose after he played a prominent role in the film alongside Suriya in 'Ayan'.
Jagan is now playing a role in the film 'Indian 2' which is a sequel to the 1996 cult classic drama.
Directed by Shankar, the film stars Kamal Haasan in the lead role, and he will be reprising his role as Senapathi in the film. Actor Jagan mentioned in a recent video interview with a YouTube channel that he was very disappointed as actor Kamal Haasan did not use his prominence as the lead in the film to include his name in the cast list during promotions.
Jagan explained that he got the role only after late director KV Anand spoke to Shankar in 2019. When the film went on floors, he was cast for it, and it was unknown to him that the directors had spoken to each other about his casting. He mentioned that over the years he has only been known because of his role in 'Ayan' and the 'Indian 2' makers, who portrayed his role with enough prominence and importance but did not even mention his name on the casting list.
Meanwhile, the rest of the film's cast includes Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Guru Somasundaram, and the late actors Vivek, Manobala, and Nedumudi Venu, among others. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the film is set to release in theaters on July 12.
