My father’s passing changed my outlook towards life: Ajinkkya
Ajinkkya Deo says that his outlook towards life changed completely after the death of his father, veteran actor Ramesh Deo, two years ago. “There was a sudden realisation that I was on my own now. I decided to up my game on the work front and worked towards being more focused as an artiste,” he tells us.
The actor is working on multiple projects simultaneously and admits to being busier than ever.
Ajinkkya, who recently shot for an English show in Vancouver, adds that out of all the life lessons that his father taught him, the one he holds dear is to always be open to any project that comes your way. He shares, “My father had advised me to avoid assessing how important a role or a film is. He said to take up the project, give it your 100 per cent and move on. I feel that when you have that kind of positive mindset, people notice it and good work starts coming in. I am getting meatier roles, and this is an extremely exciting time for me as an actor.”

Ajinkkya will be seen in the role of Vishwamitra in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana soon. “I thoroughly enjoyed working on the project,” says Ajinkkya, who is all praise for his co-star Ranbir Kapoor. “He is a fantastic actor. My family shares a cordial relationship with the Kapoors. Interestingly, I recently shared screen space with Karisma Kapoor for a web show and also shot for a project with Neetuji (Neetu Kapoor),” says Ajinkkya on a closing note.
