The super-hit duo of Mohanlal and filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad is reuniting for an upcoming film. While they have confirmed the same a while ago, the latest updates suggest that the film will go on floors soon.
Veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad’s son Akhil has recently shared an update about the upcoming project. In the picture, Mohanlal can be seen posing for a picture along with Sathyan Anthikad and producer Antony Perumbavoor.
He also confirmed that a ‘super fun’ project is on its way.
Akhil Sathyan dropped the photo on his Facebook story and captioned, “A super fun Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad film on the way,” accompanied by a fire emoji.

Helmed by Sathyan Anthikad, the upcoming film is said to be a rooted story revolving around a common man. “The success of Neru proves that people love to see Mohanlal playing the common man. Similar to our other films, this will also be a relatable tale, but with a new treatment,” the director said, in an earlier interview with Suno FM.
Justin Prabhakar will be composing the music for the upcoming film. Other details regarding the cast and crew are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Sathyan Anthikad and Mohanlal’s reunion is being eagerly anticipated by the movie lovers in Kerala. The duo’s collaboration earlier have produced some gems like ‘Gandhi Nagar Second Street (1986)’, ‘Sanmanasullavarku Samadhanam (1986)’, ‘Varavelpu (1989’, the cult classic ‘Nadodikattu (1987)’, and ‘Pattanapravesham (1988)’ among others.

On the other hand, Sathyan Anthikad’s son Anoop, who earlier helmed ‘Varane Avashyamund’ is said to be in talks with Mohanlal for a road movie, which will also have and ensemble cast including Naseeruddin Shah, Shobana, and Mukesh.
