The third season of the fan favourite web series ‘Mirzapur’ starring Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur and Kulbhushan Kharbanda is out!
The latest season is receiving much love and Ali Fazal has now opened up about how he had apprehensions about whether the third season would work.
He shared that the success of ‘Peaky Blinders' has inspired the team.
Ali Fazal confessed that he never expected the series to get ‘this famous’ when it came out. Talking to India Today, he expressed that he never expected this kind of reception, however, was sure that the kind of storytelling they have used would work. I think it was one of those few shows with such a plotline,” he stated. He also stated that he was pretty sure if the story is done right, there’s going to be an audience for it.

The ‘Mirzapur’ actor who played the role of Guddu Pandit in the series also added that the Season 3 was challenging because they had this constant thing going that 'will the next season work?' He also expressed that the success of ‘Peaky Blinders’ inspired them. He stated that though he is not comparing themselves with it, the series has come out with so many season, while being mindful that one has to keep up with the world and characters. So that was the challenge they focused on.
