Abhay Verma, Mona Singh and Sharvari's Munjya is just 1 crore away from the 100 crore mark. Despite facing competition from Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, which has grossed over Rs 507 crore, Munjya has maintained strong box office performance and is expected to cross 100 crore soon.
Munjya Box Office: The Abhay Verma and Sharvari starrer is 1 crore away from reaching the 100 crore mark

Abhay Verma, Sharvari and Mona Singh starrer Munjya, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, and based on a Maharastrian folklore, has truly been not only a game changer, but also an eye opener for what the audience truly wants to see and consume.

Munjya Star Sharvari Wagh EXCLUSIVE: 4-Hour Prosthetics, Vedaa with John Abraham & Alia's Spy Film!

The film’s run at the box office has been extremely pacy, with it earning Rs 35 crore in first week, Rs 32.65 in the second, Rs 22.95 crore in the third and Rs 6.1 crore in the fourth.
But fourth week onwards, the film has been losing steam on the count of Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The sci-fi mythological film has sent the box office on fire, and over the last 11 days, the film has earned over Rs 507 crore. Munjya added just Rs 2 crore in its fifth weekend taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 99 crore. But the film will surely enter the Rs 100 crore by the end of the week or early next week.
Munjya is part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe along with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree (who’s second installment in releasing on 15th August weekend), and Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya. One can expect characters from all three films to have a crossover soon. In fact after werewolves and ghosts, now even vampires are being added to the horror universe as Aditya Sarpotdar is kickstarting his next film The Vampires of Vijay Nagar with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna soon.
