Poll: Trump and Kasich Neck-and-Neck in Ohio

1 minute read

When Republican voters show up to the polls in Ohio on March 15, they’re likely to put Donald Trump and John Kasich in a very tight race.

According to a new poll from Public Policy Polling, surveying 638 likely Republican primary voters from March 4th to 6th, Trump leads Kasich in his home state 38% to 35% — within the poll’s margin of error of +/- 3.9%.

Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are trailing at 15% and 5% respectively. Just 69% of voters said they’re definitely committed to their current choice, and asked to pick only between Trump and Kasich, the Ohio governor led 55% to 40%.

On the Democratic side, which included 508 likely primary voters, Hillary Clinton led Bernie Sanders 56% to 35%, with a margin of error of +/-4.4%
