Report for America was created in 2017, with a mission to solve the issue of the lack of local journalism.

Freelancing in the Modern World
Boston – Working full-time for a traditional media company might not be as attractive as it once was. Doug Struck has worked for the Baltimore Sun & Washington post, leaving the post to freelance. He told the panel on “The Business of Journalism” at the SPJ New England regional conference that he quickly realized that freelancing was not the way to make it big.
