Bought this ssd because I needed a cheap SSD drive to store some files from my phone. The transfer speed was pretty slow to the point where one of my file transfers ended up deleting some files due to the long transfer process crashing. Thankfully the files that were deleted were just non-important files and photos. After using the SSD for a bit longer, these are the pros and cons that I noticed.

Pros:
-super light weight. feels like it's lighter than a USB thumbdrive
-small and very portable

Cons:
-Slow transfer speed. ESPECIALLY moving files to the secure storage thing
-feels like cheap plastic materials & it sounds hollow.
-constantly makes a click noise if you hold or lightly touch the case. hence the "clicker" part of the review title.
-price is not really worth it now that I saw the other cheaper & more reliable 1TB options.

Long story short, just buy a reliable brand like Samsung's T5 external ssds or crucial x6 SSD. Those ssds have much better build quality, transfer speed, & cheaper $/GB price.

It should've been plug & play, but I plugged it in to all the ports on my laptop and no once was it recognized. Also tried scanning for changes in device manager but had no luck there. I went to the support site to double check compatibility and I couldn't even find my ASUS laptop listed. This is pretty surprising to me. Will be returning the item.

I purchased this for monthly backup of my data.

In the same price as this I can get a 1 TB external HDD but I wanted a SSD for non-moving parts and portability.

The write speed is around 400 Mbps realistically which is a lot if you are going to use it once in a while.

Use the bundled cable or a certified USB 3.0/3.1 cable only to get full write speed.
