From the Xbox Series X version on to the PlayStation version to platinum this game. What more can I say I love this game it’s one of my favorite games of all time. The dark vintage feeling atmosphere and the weapons are all very fun and interesting to look at and play in this game this souls game has changed the game. I can stop playing it because it’s so fun I can’t wait for the dlc to drop for this game and trust me I will be on it day one

If you're looking for a non fromsoft souls-like game, you would be hard pressed to find one better than this. This game is incredible, and really well made. The combat is satisfying and reminiscent of Sekiro, while offering more build variety. It does really well at emulating the souls genre while still putting its own twist on things. Despite the somewhat silly premise of "pinnochio dark souls," the game's world and lore still manages to be really intriguing. This is really a must have game for any fan of the genre. I haven't beaten it yet, but unless they really mess up in the second half, I can see no major downsides.

We didn't get a sequel to those games but this is certainly the next best thing, even (dare I say) surpassing them in some ways. Addictive, pulse-pumping combat; a beautiful and unique world filled with mysterious characters and lore; excellent enemy design; a sizeable campaign that will keep you busy for weeks; epic, memorable boss fights...this game is so. farking. GOOD. I'm hooked. Please, please get it--support this game studio so we can get a sequel!

Enemies (including bosses) spamming the undodgeable attack mechanic ruined this game for me. I ususlly avoid games where having to perfectly perry is a primary game mechanic, but hoped it'd be less frequent and forced down my throat than it is. Guessing Sekiro fans may dig this style of play, but I steered clear of that one. Did have some interesting weapons, a skill tree to help customize some aspects of gameplay, and had some nice minor quality of life improvements compared to the souls games. Took a gamble on this one and lost.

I played this for 78 hours to 100% this game. Visually nice, Likeable characters, all-round great time.

Hot take:
I played both this and Elden Ring and I prefer this SO much more! It feels a lot more narratively focused, that coupled with the more linear level design makes the make me kinda care about what’s happening to the world and characters, and having ‘Gemini‘ chime in every now and then doesn’t make you feel so alone all the time when everything can seem so dark and grim.

…You know, instead of reading in-game item descriptions/online wiki or just watching YouTube videos to even understand what’s going on. Everything you need to know is told to you through dialogue or environmental storytelling throughout.

(SPOILER: The ‘bad’ ending is really mean spirited and seriously messed up! And kinda heartbreaking too… Like, after 78 hours and finishing my third NG+ to get the last ending, I didn’t think the game could still shock me)
