New Look of Navigation

In 2022, we introduced a new Search Ads 360 experience with a refreshed look and feel bringing in a familiar experience as seen in other tools like Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. As we learn about how you are using the new Search Ads 360, we understand that navigation can be simplified further. We are improving the navigation design to better organize while continuing to provide the same tools and solutions you rely on to grow your business.

While we aren’t changing or removing features you rely on, here are the main updates:

  1. More efficient navigation: We are integrating “Tools and Settings” into the left navigation panel and grouping related pages together. The redesign brings more tools and features into a single location, rather than separate ones to increase efficiency and organization.
  2. Improved discoverability: We grouped related tasks together to make tools and features easier to find. Note the following key grouping changes:
    • Bid strategies and Advanced Controls previously under “Tools and Settings” will be consolidated into the new “Bidding and Planning” section.
    • New Insights tab groups all insights-based pages (Search terms, When & where ads showed, Devices, Landing pages, Stores) together.
    • Audiences & content groups Audiences, Locations, Content, Ads schedule, Dynamic ad targets, Advanced bid adjustments into one location.
    • Ads & Assets are prominently displayed as separate tabs.
  3. Refreshed look and feel: We wanted to provide a fresh new look along with these task-oriented changes. We’ve introduced more visual clarity in the account picker. We’ve switched to our branded Google Sans font set to a larger size for a friendlier feel and improved readability. Navigating along the left menu brings up grouped items with a blue highlight to clearly indicate location in the user interface. Sub-tabs within pages help clearly distinguish functionality.

What’s next

We’ll be updating Search Ads 360 Help Center documentation and creating additional resources to help you get comfortable with and efficient in this new design. In the meantime, our New Search Ads 360 experience UI navigation in the Help Center can help you find key pages. We look forward to hearing your feedback and seeing what other changes we can bring in to make the user experience better in navigation and beyond.
