This answer is nearly 10 years old at this point, but I hope nobody uses the provided script because it puts the password in the command line where any other process can view it. If you don't believe me, open a shell and type ps aux and look at all the command line arguments of all the processes running on your computer. Instead of passwords, use public keys. Then, you won't be prompted for a password (unless you password-protected the key, of course).
