  • Thank you very much for your answer, but unfortunately it's not a case. Both print server and desktop get their settings (with static leases) from same dnsmasq based DHCP running on router. I did check it to make sure, and both get 194.168.138.0 network addresses, and 255.255.255.0 netmask. I'll add that to question.

  • This answer does not explain the whole problem (look for comments on question), but it was most direct cause, and lead to solution of disabling faulty feature on dd-wrt router.
