3We need to identify exactly what driver/service is responsible. Please download and run LatencyMon (resplendence.com/latencymon), it's a brilliant profiler that should help identify the culprit. Run it for a minute or two while your system is misbehaving then check the various result tabs (Main, Stats, Processes, Drivers, CPUs). That might be enough for you to go on, if not, try post some of the results here and we'll try figure it out!– misha256Commented Dec 23, 2014 at 11:39

I should mention that LatencyMon is free and free of any kind of crap-ware so it's safe to use. I have no association with the software other than the fact I use it and it has served me well.– misha256Commented Dec 23, 2014 at 11:42

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. windows-7), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
