For the record, I now use the "Signature Switch" addon for this. While it doesn't select the correct signature automatically, it at least allows to easily switch to ASCII signature.– oliverCommented Nov 20, 2014 at 10:26

How to Tag

- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
