1I can't find "notification area icons" in "control panel". I can find "notifications" in "settings", but there i no option to turn off action center there.– Donald DuckCommented Dec 31, 2022 at 16:20

You sure you have windows 11? "Notification area icons" should be in "control panel". If mby you have windows 10, then go to "settings" > "system" > "Notifications and actions" > "turn system icons on or off" where action center switch should be. If you can't find it, try the registry twerk. Hope it helps :)– user1760240Commented Jan 4, 2023 at 1:43

3What version of Windows 11 do you have? I have recently updated to 22H2 so maybe that's why I have it? (Check under Settings>System>About). I also have Windows 11 Enterprise, could be that, but I don't know why would two Windows 11 have different control panel. Maybe yours is just hidden. Try to copy this path in Windows RUN it should take you to Control Panel>Notifications and actions and then click "turn system icons on or off". explorer shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}– user1760240Commented Jan 6, 2023 at 5:13

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. windows-7), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
