  • when you say 'it wants 45W', what I think you mean is, it wants 20V. My laptop wants 20V and will draw initially a high current while charging (eg, 2.5A, which results in 50W drawn), and once charged, will only draw around 0.5A to keep the laptop fully charged while running (and not doing much) - but - it still wants the source to be 20V.
