Your suggestion worked fine Ansgar. Thanks a lot for the explanation. :) BTW, when i was looking for solution, i also came across this command: $sch_task_action = [IO.File]::ReadAllText("C:\automation\sch_task_action_final.conf") but this too failed with the same error. Any idea why?
