Great trick if you need the host of your vagrant for ssh for other reasons, like a SQL GUI connection, such as Sequel Pro. This one save me!

So all you actually need is ssh vagrant@IP -p PORT -i path/to/privatekey. And that is even simpler than the top voted answer
