    Nitpick: 0! = 1. Any value less than 0 is defined by the Gamma function.

  • According to this discussion on MathOverflow, there is "no 'good' answer" for negative factorial. I had never really thought about negative factorials so I will express no opinion, but I thought this was interesting. mathoverflow.net/questions/10124/the-factorial-of-1-2-3
