Jun 6 at 23:11 | comment | added | Charles Duffy | @SSHThis, review the answers actually added and their upvote counts. Certainly, the people writing answers (or voting on those answers!) don't unequivocally see this as a scripting question.

Jan 22, 2014 at 2:26 | comment | added | SSH This | Programming a shell script is the ideal solution to this question, consequently it should be considered related to programming. Not to mention the fact that the OP actually asked specifically for a script.

Feb 7, 2013 at 12:37 | comment | added | Justin John | @DanMoulding Can this question migrate to unix.stackexchange.com? If so, how?
Feb 7, 2013 at 12:32 | comment | added | Dan Moulding | Unix and Linux StackExchange (unix.stackexchange.com) is probably a better venue for this question. It's off-topic here because it doesn't relate strictly to programming.

Feb 7, 2013 at 12:19 | comment | added | Barmar | Shell commands work the same whether you're logged in locally or via ssh.
Feb 7, 2013 at 12:17 | comment | added | Justin John | @Barmar: I am using ssh.
Feb 7, 2013 at 12:14 | comment | added | Justin John | Is this question off-topic? or This is not wright place to ask this kind of question? If so, where should I ask this question, I mean where in stack exchange?

vi $HISTFILE and delete what you want. Use head -n -10 if you have to automate it.
