comment Determining if client is Azure AD joined using dsregcmd fails if called from a script
@user1686 Not hypothetical and not snark on 'intern'. The nature of the software is that information is gathered inside their network (whatever flavor or network), and it's encrypted. What gets installed can read that data, Hence, need to prevent installs outside that network so the data is inaccessible, and first step is are they even on a network. Distinguishing kind of network is defeated AFAIK if it's generically Azure.

Addendum, would finding this be proof (even though can be manually added so not bulletproof) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CloudDom‌ainJoin\JoinInfo

@user1686 Such as what? These are not customers we site visit nor have prerequisite other than supported Windows client OS. Not snark, but what would that be in your judgement? Is a check of Win32_ComputerSystem enough when it comes to Azure AD joined? We do check that.

Yep, that's true. So up-voting for that. More complex so maybe another question - have someone that is on Azure, is a legit corporate user, but has not AD joined. Technically, that's a legit user, but from our end it's not really possible to know. The tool dsregcmd will show if they are Azure AD joined, but it fails unless run from a cmd window. If you script it (be it .BAT or .VBS) it reports nothing.

Is there a list of which folder is represented by the UID, e.g. {3f98a740-839c-4af7-8c36-5badfb33d5fd}. Would be super useful. I too want all search results in details view but don't want pictures, music, etc. to go to details view.

comment Is there a way to set the default folder row and column font size in Outlook 365?
Means that you still need to do this whenever you create a new folder which was not the object of my question. To be clear, the question was to change the default font for all new Outlook folders from 8pt type which is useless, irrespective of what LPChip keeps going on about which assumes I am clueless about DPI.

@harrymc This is the closest to a good answer and it does work...to a limited extent. It will do so for existing folders but does NOT address the question that when you create a new one, it's stuck in the 90's when 8pt stuff was fine. And ignore LPCHip on this, he has no clue, DPI has zero to do with it.

@LPChip Do you actually have many PCs with different monitors, different resolutions, different DPI settings? Looks like you don't because it has zero effect, it's 8pt or nothing, and it's ALWAYS too small.

@harrymc I stated in the question that it's about folders, not message text. When you create a new folder they default to 8pt text.

@LPChip This isn't about DPI, it's about the fact that Outlook defaults to 8pt text (as per image included in my question, and looking for a way change the default. As in is there a registry hack or some setting that's non-obvious.

comment How can I determine whether an Antivirus product is installed?
This is an old thread but if anyone is interested, actually it was on Win 7 and is still around: works on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (per-release). Use the same code as @Chris Sears and replace SecurityCenter with SecurityCenter2.
