$\begingroup$ @JörgWMittag Had seen discussion back to the 80s that space station crews should be selected from those missing legs since you reduce your life support needs by a claimed 20%, would be interesting to know what those who have actually lived in space think, since suspect legs are still useful for positioning yourself to use your arms. $\endgroup$
