-1, I don't agree. Agile development also means that you purify and ease processes and also the ability to adapt to changes. Which happens to be exactly what Scrum is about. Scrum is also about requirements and planning, just differently.– FalconCommented Jun 11, 2011 at 8:04

6Eh, c'mon, this is 2012. Quote Kent Beck's public writing or leave it. Doesn't matter if he flatulated on your couch.– nes1983Commented Dec 15, 2012 at 12:20

7@nes1983: I wrote that in 2011. Things were different then.– Tom AndersonCommented Dec 15, 2012 at 13:00

3I never heard the term "technical debt" until scrum popped up on my radar. I've been to the training. Easily sold Snake Oil meant to appeal to management at the expense of long term product quality considerations. 100% bullshit. Although I would totally swallow it if Scrum Masters got to carry a Conan-style sword to womp people who threatened the integrity of the process with.– Erik ReppenCommented Dec 20, 2012 at 6:17

4+1 for the Scrum rant. I think of Scrum as the "Agile" methodology for people who like waterfall so much they want to do it every two weeks.– KyralessaCommented Nov 20, 2014 at 20:31

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. design-patterns), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
