Um es kurz zu fassen…In der täglichen Beratungspraxis wir man immer wieder damit konfrontiert: ein nicht in Singapur ansässiger Ausländer möchte hier ein Konto eröffnen.
Dies kann vielfältige Gründe haben. Nicht dass es sich bei den betreffenden Geldern um das Ergebnis von illegalen oder nicht versteuerten Einkünften handelt. Oft trauen die betreffenden Personen nicht den Verhältnissen in ihrem Heimatland und sie möchten ihre Ersparnisse z.B. sicher vor Pfändungen aufbewahren.
Um es kurz zu fassen, Singapur ist per se nicht der richtige Ort, um solches Geld zu parken. Eine Vorschrift gibt es hierzu nicht, aber in der Praxis ist es so, dass man zur Kontoeröffnung hier einen festen Wohnsitz nachweisen muss. Dafür kann eine Aufenthaltserlaubnis dienen, die entweder temporär mit einer Arbeitserlaubnis oder - heute seltener - als permanente Aufenthaltserlaubnis erteilt wird. -

Euro) dotierten Domestic Investment Strategic Fund (DISF), mit dem malaysische Unternehmen neue Technologien beschaffen und ihre Mitarbeiter entsprechend auszubilden können. Ziel ist es, den lokalen Unternehmen zu helfen, in der Wertschöpfungskette weiter nach oben zu steigen. Zu den präferierten Sektoren zählen fortgeschrittene Elektronik, Maschinenbau, Medizintechnik, Pharmazeutik, sowie Luftfahrttechnik.
Bis jetzt worden aus dem DISF nur 20 % ausgegeben. Die derzeit noch verbleibenden Reserven im Fonds in Höhe von 780 Mio. RM (etwa 200 Mio. EUR) muss die MIDA bis 2015 ausgeben.
Für deutsche Mittelständler, die in Süd-Ost-Asien ganz allgemein einen hervorragenden Ruf genießen, kann dies eine Gelegenheit darstellen, ihren Wirkungskreis konkret in die immer noch am schnellsten wachsende Region der Welt auszudehnen. -

Survey participants could recommend firms both in general and by specialities, categorised into six sectors. More than 10,000 patent attorneys working in patent law firms or in the patent departments of companies, as well as clients, were directly invited to take part in the survey. The sample was collected via research conducted by Statista on relevant company websites, in publications and from the EPI (the Institute of Professional Representatives Before the European Patent Office), the professional body representing European patent attorneys. The invitations were sent by email with a personalised link that could be used only once.
