Looking to ‘charge up’ your electric vehicle (EV) when visiting the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Campus? You can now do so as we have just introduced our first batch of 12 EV charging points at #SingHealth Tower, in partnership with SP Group (SP). In a launch ceremony this morning, leaders from both SingHealth and SP activated the ‘first charge’ on our first campus security EV. Available for use by both staff and visitors, these chargers are part of SingHealth’s Decarbonisation Plan aimed at reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable practices. By end 2024, more than 80 EV charging points will be deployed at various locations across SingHealth’s institutions, as well as up to 300 EV charging points installed by 2028, with SingHealth set to become the public healthcare cluster with the largest number of EV chargers in Singapore upon completion. The introduction of these chargers comes in addition to existing sustainability initiatives in waste reduction, building emissions control, as well as water efficiency enhancement. In the past, #SingHealth’s retail #pharmacies were individually managed by the respective institutions they were located in, causing inconsistencies in product ranges and prices in different outlets. Today, SingHealth #Pharmacare consolidates the retail pharmacies across SingHealth institutions, and offers #healthcare products that meet the #health and #wellness needs of patients and customers. For example, when a patient receives a prescription for a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine from the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) Sleep Clinic, doctors can simply direct them to the SGH Pharmacare store.
