    But when you use a password manager like I do (and I'm sure many others), it slows you down that way. This is because you either have to remove the symbol your self, or you need to change the password type, which makes it less secure because the password is shorter.

    @iProgram most people don't use password managers, and most password managers allow you to change the password or generate passwords without symbols. Commented Jan 27, 2016 at 13:09
  • With my password manager, I can filter the symbol out, however it makes the password shorter, therefor less secure.

    @iProgram If your password manager doesn't let you store passwords of any characters and of any length, it's a pretty poor password manager, and that limitation has nothing to do with the point I was making. Commented Jan 27, 2016 at 20:59
