This comprehensive report explores the benefits and challenges associated with the broad implementation of HaH in Sweden based on international experiences and current research findings. In short, HaH is a safe and resource-efficient alternative to inpatientcare, appreciated by both patients and health care personnel. HaH may provide an important contribution to current challenges with both demographic development as well as health care personnel recruitment and retention. Politicians and healthcare administration representatives are actively seeking new tools to boost recruitment and retention in the industry. Traditional incentives like salary increases, other benefits, and reduced working hours are essential but must be complemented with structural changes.
