Today Duni Group presented the interim report for January-June 2024.  “After exceptionally high comparative figures, net sales and profit are the next best in a second quarter in the Company’s history, and included an improved portfolio mix. Reducing Plastic in Our Paper Cup Ranges by Up to 70% Duni Group is deeply committed to sustainability and innovation. In response to new regulations and our dedication to reducing environmental impact, we've taken significant steps to reduce plastic in our #Duni paper cup ranges by up to 70%. Paper cups need coating to contain liquids safely and prevent leakage, by changing the coating to innovative water-based coatings, we can reduce plastics. By doing so we can reduce plastic from 15% to down to as low as 4% for these products, but keep consistent quality and pricing. By reducing plastic, we are also significantly lowering our footprint. Duni Group in collaboration with Swedish start-up Liplid Duni Group is now launching a new type of lid for take-away cups, with a unique design that enables less material use and a better drinking experience, developed by Liplid. The lids are made from either a mixture of bamboo and bagasse or from pure wood fibers. They are recyclable and have no added PFAS and align well with Duni Group's sustainability strategy and commitment to reduce plastic use, increase the share of renewable materials and reduce climate impact. ”The collaboration with Liplid is an exciting step forward for us at Duni Group, which confirms our aspiration to offer innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to our customers.
