  • Nice answer, though I'm not sure it really answers the question. For one, deuterium is a simple isotope of hydrogen, so its structure is not complex. Even so, though, if the data has to be stored in some way for the transporter, why couldn't the transporter be used to rematerialize multiple copies of whatever it was that it dematerialized?
