It's interesting that JRRT says "especially Elrond" - this would seem to indicate that in his mind Elrond is significantly more powerful (capable of supplanting Sauron) than Galadriel. Yet, in the books, it seems Galadriel is the more powerful of the two. Perhaps there is more to Elrond than we ever see or hear of? | |
