Jul 16, 2018 at 21:32 comment added einpoklum @ThePopMachine: If that sounds weird to you, perhaps you should read my self-answers talking about OP in the third person...

Jul 16, 2018 at 21:25 comment added ThePopMachine @einpoklum: So nothing, except that in his comment, RichS was talking to you the answerer as if he didn't realize you were you the questioner.
Jul 16, 2018 at 21:23 comment added einpoklum @ThePopMachine: Yeah, but so what? RichS can criticize my answer as irrespective of that fact :-P

Jul 16, 2018 at 8:10 comment added einpoklum @RichS: Memory Alpha is only based on canon sources, Memory Beta is for non-canon sources.
Jul 16, 2018 at 6:17 comment added RichS @einpoklum The link to Memory-Alpha is helpful. Is it a canon source? The OP asked for canon sources where possible. It is an editable source much like Wikipedia. If the page on Jean Luc Picard quotes other sources (especially canon sources) for that particular fact about Picard, then you can quote the original sources rather than a freely editable page. That would strengthen your answer. :-)
