6So why is she being ignored?– phantom42Commented Jul 17, 2017 at 12:19

7So it's a splitting hairs thing? "She's the first in-universe woman doctor, but not the first one in an official production"?– phantom42Commented Jul 17, 2017 at 12:22

7Correct. Also, CoTFD is fairly obscure.– Politank-ZCommented Jul 17, 2017 at 12:22

27And it's a Parody made while DW was on its break. It's nice that Rowan Atkinson got to be The Doctor for a bit, though.– DisturbedNeoCommented Jul 17, 2017 at 13:56

4@phantom42 Curse of Fatal Death is usually regarded as non-canon (to the extent that there's any concept of canon in DW), and it certainly contradicts the main continuity of the show, with the Ninth to Thirteenth incarnations of the Doctor being played by Rowan Atkinson, Richard Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant, and Joanna Lumley rather than Eccleston, Tennant, Smith, Capaldi, and Whittaker. It was a spoof and clearly takes itself even less seriously than the rest of DW.– Rand al'Thor ♦Commented Jul 18, 2017 at 11:09

A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
Type the name of the science fictional or fantastical work your question is about (Example:
star-wars
).For questions not specific to any one work, use concept tags to describe your question (Example:
story-identification
).Tagging rules:
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. story-identification), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
