Mar 23, 2017 at 4:29 comment added Slipp D. Thompson @ILoveYou I just watched First Contact a few months ago (after watching all of TNG, which I had previously only seen a couple seasons of). I distinctly remembering one of the characters (probably Riker, because Riker gets all the important lines when his actor is also the director) saying near the end of the movie that they “need to get back to the time-hole before it closes”. Now that, my friends, is some premier sci-fi writing.
Mar 22, 2017 at 15:13 comment added Valorum @ILoveYou - Worth asking on the main site. As far as I'm aware they simply used the same deflector thingy to open an passageway that the Borg had punched in space-time. I'm unsure what happened to it afterwards. Probably it just dissipated on its own
Mar 22, 2017 at 14:52 comment added user931 @Valorum Which kind of interpretation is that? Are you suggesting that there's a permanent wormhole above Earth?
Mar 22, 2017 at 13:22 comment added Valorum @ILoveYou - But their time-hole wasn't.

Mar 22, 2017 at 11:01 comment added Valorum The Enterprise E used the Borg's time hole thingy to return to the present. They don't have that capacity normally.
Mar 22, 2017 at 10:52 comment added user931 @Valorum That page says that Time Travel was theoretical. The devices were hypothetical. Not to mention, Falcon is the main subject here.
Mar 22, 2017 at 9:53 comment added Valorum They have wormholes in Star Trek that allow instantaneous travel also.
Mar 22, 2017 at 9:46 comment added Valorum They also have time travel in the Star Wars universe.
