I distinctly remembering one of the characters (probably Riker, because Riker gets all the important lines when his actor is also the director) saying near the end of the movie that they “need to get back to the time-hole before it closes”. Now that, my friends, is some premier sci-fi writing.

As far as I'm aware they simply used the same deflector thingy to open an passageway that the Borg had punched in space-time. I'm unsure what happened to it afterwards. Probably it just dissipated on its own

Mar 22, 2017 at 11:01 | comment | added | Valorum | The Enterprise E used the Borg's time hole thingy to return to the present. They don't have that capacity normally.

Mar 22, 2017 at 9:53 | comment | added | Valorum | They have wormholes in Star Trek that allow instantaneous travel also.
Mar 22, 2017 at 9:46 | comment | added | Valorum | They also have time travel in the Star Wars universe.
