Get a Peace of Mind During Repairs with Maintenance Mode

Maintenance mode keeps your data private when someone else, like a repair technician, is using your phone. It blocks access to your photos, messages, and accounts, leaving only preinstalled apps available. While any apps downloaded in Maintenance mode will be accessible, they will be automatically deleted when Maintenance mode is deactivated.

How to Start Maintenance Mode

Step 1. Go to Settings >  Device care. 

Step 2.  Scroll down and tap Maintenance mode.

Step 3. Tap Turn on to activate it. 

Step 4. Tap Restart to restart your phone in Maintenance mode.
