too small for me, more for sun than rain use, not for 2 person

too small for me, more for sun than rain use, not for 2 person
I feel that this umbrella is too small for anyone in the rain. With this umbrella, the lower part of the body will definitely get wet. This is more for sun use rather than rain. The site says for 1-2 person and if 1 person is small I think with 2 person, only the head will stay dry.The quality feels to be alright but I think in windy situations the umbrella may break. The frame is held together by thin metals which does not look to be durable in high winds. This is also why I am sticking to use this in the sun rather than in windy rain. The good thing is that this is small and light. The design is also nice looking and it comes with a lanyard to hang across the body for easy carrying. This is going into my car as an emergency use umbrella rather than as my main umbrella.

I used this at a craft show I was vending at this weekend. It worked awesome.....when I remembered to use it! I did get a little burn, but that was because I had to stand in the hot sun for two hours straight because we got a small rush, and I forgot my sunscreen. Anyway, I'm super sensitive to the heat and sun lately. I'm getting into my 40s and maybe it's menopause or something, but the heat just gets to me, makes me feel like crap, makes me dizzy. Y'all, I'm from Florida. Heat is no new thing. I'm used to it. I'm used to jogging in it, working in it, living with it, sweating my butt off, hydrating A LOT, and I just can't take it anymore. I got this for some skin protection and some shade at a very short outdoor craft show, but I'll be using this for a lot more than that now.
It worked so well. First of all, it comes in a sleeve with a velcro closure to enable easy use of the loop on the bottom of the umbrella, which is just a plastic disc. Unhook that and slide it off, and the umbrella has another velcro closure, which is awesome in case I lose the sleeve next week, which I probably will, lol.
The umbrella opens with a simple push up the metal. It closes with a simple pull down. Nothing to push in, which did worry me at first as far as durability, but I looked it over and it all seems to be good quality. Lightweight metal, all smoothly finished, no rough or sharp edges, no burrs, even sizing, and it all operates smoothly. The quality is there as far as the metal used for assembly.
The fabric is really nice. The coloring, the blue and green, is bright enough that I found this easily in my bag. When I opened this up, I immediately felt the burning of the sun cut off. Not entirely, since it's the sun, duh, but this thin feeling umbrella cut off so much heat that I didn't feel a bit of dizziness or weakness all day. I was in the sun for 6 hours and used this as much as possible during that time, and this really, really helped for the time that I was able to use it. This in conjunction with wireless fans saved the day for me.
There was a bit of wind, and this didn't threaten to fold or blow out at all. I honestly didn't expect much from this umbrella, but it worked out so awesomely for me. The size is great for one person, or a person carrying a baby or dog in a sling, and it works really great to cut the sun's rays, and its heat, when going outside. If I had used it all day, I would not have gotten a sunburn like I did. It's compact enough to fit in just about any size purse. It opens and closes fast and easy. It just works. I can't find a single negative about this umbrella. I would buy again. I am going to grab one for my mom, as she has skin cancer and always covers up to go out. This will be great for her to have some protection on top of her sunscreen when she goes out, and it won't take up much space, so she can keep it right in the car door.
I love it and I recommend this for anyone needing some sun/heat protection. It just works and it's so convenient and easy to use.

It’s a decent umbrella and it gets the job done, but the design is a bit odd.

The process of opening or closing it odd. It’s designed that way to make it more compact than your standard small umbrella. While I question its ability to last, so far it’s survived a track season.

When they say mini travel umbrella they really mean it. When I saw it said mini I was assuming it’s because it folds up so small. Well it does fold up small but when fully opened it’s not going to really provide any protection except for one person. I’m petite and I think it’s even on the small side just for me. It is super lightweight though.

I think this umbrella is strictly for sun protection. It is advertised as a UV umbrella for sun protection but does say it has a water resistant layer so I assumed when I ordered it that it could work as a regular umbrella as well. This umbrella seems too flimsy to withstand any strong winds. I think it’s a little too pricey for what you get.

If you’re looking for an umbrella for rain/storms this probably isn’t it. If you want something lightweight to protect you from the sun then you’ll probably be happy with it. I just think it’s a little too pricey.

This is honestly a perfect umbrella!! I was hesitant to put the phone attachment into my phone's case, but I was brave and did it anyway. Y'all, I was SHOCKED that this tiny little flap of material and this even tinier ring could support my phone's weight. The ring is a bit tricky to open and close around the lanyard for the umbrella, but once you work it on, you know your phone will be safe hanging there. I crossed the lanyard around my shoulder like a purse and it was a wonderful way to carry my phone when I didn't have any pockets. The umbrella itself is really light, and does a great job creating shade. The only downside is it is pretty small, and really only covers the space for one person.... so you can't really share this umbrella very well.

I see this item as good to have when traveling or to keep in a desk drawer at work for just in case. It is very small and light so it will fit in a suitcase, backpack, even a somewhat small purse, plus it can be carried crossbody. A cell phone with case can be added to the crossbody cord. The umbrella seems flimsier than portrayed in the listing, so it probably cannot be used as an every day carry, year round for both sun and rain, but it will work if you are traveling to a location where one moment the sun is out and the next there is a light, short-lived shower. It would be difficult to carry opened for an extended amount of time, especially when windy, because the handle that the manufacturer would normally add/glue to the plastic disk has been eliminated, presumably to eliminate bulk. So it works in a pinch, but no more than that. The crossbody cord is super light weight and detachable, as is the phone tab/"adapter". I'm not sure what this gadget is called, but you can slip it into the phone case to be able to carry your cell phone with the crossbody cord. It's very nice to have and can be used separately from the umbrella. The idea for this compact umbrella is sound and the sun blocking material which also repels water is great. The manufacturer would only need to provide a sturdier frame and a better handle to have a 5-star umbrella.
