Aug 23, 2021 at 12:02 comment added mkinson Slice could be slice theory, or it could be division e.g. 1/2. Kill could be a play on kilogram or kilometer, and overkill meaning >1k, or it simply could result in 0. Demonic certainly sounds like we should get 666 somewhere. My guess is a number that has 4 digits, that when you divide the two halves based on the criteria you'll satisfy all 4 lines.

Aug 16, 2021 at 23:51 comment added Dannyu NDos @Feryll A little mathematical argument is needed.
Aug 16, 2021 at 23:37 comment added Feryll I see, thank you. And just to be sure we're on the same page regarding the mathematics tag: "A puzzle related to mathematical facts and objects, whose solution needs mathematical arguments." Does the latter half of this description apply, or only the former? I.e. is the solution just the alignment of known factoids and their relation to the text, or does semi-original math need to be performed?
Aug 16, 2021 at 23:26 comment added Dannyu NDos @Feryll The title merely indicates this riddle is not an affix-riddle. Also, "knowledge" tag is added.

Aug 16, 2021 at 23:15 comment added Feryll Fishing for a hint... Is the title merely to stop us from falling into a trap for the format, or is it actually a bigger tongue-in-cheek hint? And, is there any amount of real world trivia/knowledge involved?
