Jan 6, 2021 at 13:57 comment added Deusovi @Tsdev Ah, I miscounted (and now realize that my second comment makes no sense). Yes, that would explain it.
Jan 6, 2021 at 13:55 comment added Tsdev @Deusovi - I think you're onto something. What if the pattern is a total of 4 spades and 4 clubs across all rows and columns? Then E is correct
Jan 6, 2021 at 13:43 comment added Tsdev The locations threw me off too; I assumed it was designed to confuse rather than embed any association with the pattern
Jan 6, 2021 at 13:42 comment added DrD Also the locations of clubs and spades seem almost random. Is that intentional or a drawing issue?

Jan 6, 2021 at 13:40 comment added Deusovi Also, I think this question is poorly specified (which is the fault of the test creators, not your own fault). The most natural pattern to me is "Each row has the same number of spades in all cells. There are 4 clubs in each row and column." which would lead to the missing box being ♣♣♠♠ - but that's not one of the options.
