Encrenaz, T., 1969: Contribution a l'étude des spectres infra-rouge et millimétrique de Jupiter. Doctorat 3ème Cycle. Faculté des Sciences de Paris. (In French)

In recent years, new steps have been taken in the spectroscopic study of Jupiter's atmosphere. In particular, we now have more precise information on the millimetric spectrum of Jupiter, as well as its infrared spectrum, between 3 and 20 µm. In addition, other measures are planned for the acquisition, in the near future, of the far infrared spectrum (40-400 µm) emitted by the Jovian disc.

In order to use these results for a better knowledge of the atmospheric structure of Jupiter, it appeared interesting to perform a theoretical calculation of these absorption spectra, from given atmospheric models, then to study the evolution of the theoretical curves with the variation of the different parameters, and to compare these curves with the experimental results.
