We are proud to announce BuildPalestine’s newest initiative, Nourishing Hope in Gaza, a program of our Mobilizing for Gaza pillar that supports initiatives in Gaza that are making an immediate community impact. ☘ We are humbled and amazed to share that we received 131 applications from Gaza; the ideas spanning education, food and water distribution, psychosocial activities, agriculture, co-working, and arts & cultures. As our pilot, we selected a beautiful project called Colors for Gaza, an initiative that provides psychosocial support to children in Gaza through play, theater, art & crafts, dance, and music. Colors for Gaza is led by Wisam Abu Alnaja, a sculptor, community advocate, and mother of two sons, Daniel and Eilia. Wisam gave birth to Eilia a few months ago, during the ongoing genocide in Gaza. BuildPalestine has committed our support to Colors for Gaza in the following ways: 💴 Supporting their crowdfunding campaign to purchase toys, markers, and other supplies used in Colors for Gaza activities 🎤 Uplifting their story through our platforms – keep an eye on our Instagram, website, and newsletters! ✊ Mobilizing our global community to partner with us to champion Colors for Gaza, amplify their amazing work, and be a force of solidarity and support for Wisam as she courageously uplifts her community in a time of immense need.
