According to the news US Senator Mike Turner claimed that the Russians were developing a nuclear anti-satellite weapon to be deployed in space. The linked article cited an expert called Pavel Podvig who said:

IBut that fails to point out how ridiculous is the claim. Such a weapon would be like using a battleship to shoot down a mosquito and Russia cannot afford it. Especially right now with the budget consumed by the war. I would like to know if anybody else challenged the claim with a more detailed explanation.
