About this ebook

In the California coastal town of South Cove, Jill Gardner, owner of Coffee, Books, and More, becomes more engaged in sleuthing than wedding preparations when there’s a murder in a dress shop . . .

Jill couldn’t love police chief Greg King more—so why does that engagement ring still feel funny on her finger? At least she’ll have a chance to show it off this Saturday at their engagement party. Just in time for the event, a new dress shop has opened in town, Exquisite Gowns for You, specializing in designer wedding gowns and other custom-fit dresses.

But Jill’s excitement turns to shock when she comes by to pick up her dress for the party and discovers a dead body in the shop. New owner Harper Sanchez is behaving strangely and becoming more mysterious than anyone expected. Despite Greg’s warnings to leave the case to him, Jill can’t help looking into the murder. Somebody in South Cove is dressed to kill—and if Jill’s not careful, she may not live to wear her wedding gown . . .

I love everything about Wedding Bell Blues starting with the cover! This well written book is set in a small, close knit town. Jill and Greg will soon be attending their engagement party. I love the recurring cast of characters, the small town vibe and the author's interestingly twisted mystery. I read the book in one day because I could not put it down!

I love my visits to South Cove, California, and Wedding Bell Blues offers a great time with my South Cove friends in spite of the murder of a stranger. I envy Jill her bookstore with a family of employees who add to her joy in sharing three of the things she loves, books, delicious coffee, and great treats. Everyone loves her Golden Retriever, Emma, who really acts like a dog and is so adorable. I am thrilled that Jill and Greg's relationship has reached the point of engagement, even though that ring feels a little heavy for now. I would never have found the series without the mystery but for me that is the least important part of what any of my favorite cozy/amateur mystery series offer. The characters of my must-read series have dynamic lives, and I have enjoyed following the changes in Jill's life and that of her friends. Amy is married now. It looks like Sadie, the best baker ever is getting close, and Carrie has made a move forward in her relationship with a special guy. The one thing I don't envy is Jill's talent for discovering dead bodies. Once again Greg is less than thrilled with her need to find answers because all too often, that curiosity puts the woman he loves in danger. I was a bit disappointed in the resolution but still loved the book. My thanks to Goodreads, Lyrical Press, and Lynn Cahoon for allowing me to read an ARC of Wedding Bell Blues. I can't wait for the release of next book in the series ang this one doesn't even come out until March 1, 2022. #Goodreads #Lyrical Press #Lynn Cahoon #Wedding Bell Blues #ATouristTrapMystery
