Pretty good app with convenient features. One thing that really irks me is that you can't mark an individual thread/conversation as "read" so that the notification counter on the app badge goes away. And when I "mark all as read" it often will leave some conversations still showing 1 or 2 unread messages. I'd really like to see a "cleanup tool" that you can run manually or on a recurring basis that will put all junk like 2 Factor Auth codes in a list for you to quickly delete.

I've tried 10 or 12 texting apps before finding Textra. It does EXACTLY what I want a messaging app to do, features are customizable to EXACTLY the form and fashion I sought. Perfect. UPDATE: I hate that now, in order to attach a photo, I have to click in EXACTLY the right spot and then click it AGAIN in order to insert it into my text. HOW IN THE WORLD IS THAT AN IMPROVEMENT?!

A lot of care clearly goes into the development of this app and its features. I've been using it for years with little to no issue. It's feature rich yet simple. A little confused by the new app icon. It looks quite dated and odd (I only see it in the task changer). Update: why did they change the process of adding photos to a text? It was great before, several extra unnecessary steps added now. Also, the lack of the theming is making this app a little outdated looking now anyway.
