SoundHound makes it simple to discover music playing around you. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home, in your car, or anywhere else. Just open the app, hit the big orange button, and we’ll tell you exactly what song is playing!
SAVE YOUR MUSIC JOURNEY
All the songs and lyrics you discover will be kept in your own personal history, and you’ll have a Music Map to look up exactly where you heard that song you loved so much. You can also connect your Spotify account to build playlists, explore music across genres, and find new favorites—all with real-time lyrics.
SING ALONG WITH REAL-TIME LYRICS

Soundhound used to be awesome. It would detect songs quickly, with minimal effort, wherever you were. Recently, I have been noticing that even in the car, putting the phone next to the speaker, at high volume, it gives you the "We Couldn't Find This One". I understand a few times, but not every single time. It sucks because I loved this app and was amazed that even in a loud bar, like Flanigan's, it use to be able to detect the song within seconds.

I loved capturing songs, instrumental and vocal, from snipits I heard on the radio when I started using SoundHound, I have been using it for years, and I forgave them for not having the older an eclectic material you hear on college radio and I was optimistic that their ability to identify jazz would improve. I misplaced those thoughts - I am looking to other apps now because identification of materials in those two categories has NOT improved.

I've sent emails as to whether the app should dumped for not working.its been a few months. Get a reply they know and are working on it. Can't tell if it's a real person or just canned reply. 0 stars. App stopped functioning after last update. History gone. Playlists won't play; when they do they can't be advanced to next Playlist song...just goes to artists next song. Hope this get fixed soon or become worst app around. Annoying that it's almost been a month and site isn't fixed yet.
