Offering extensive functionality, this app competes well with other navigation apps. The main differences lie in user preference and GUI design. I encountered two drawbacks: one specific to this platform and another in a different app. Fortunately, one of these issues was resolved in a recent update, improving full-screen map display on larger vehicle infotainment screens. However, one feature that seems to be missing is satellite view. Apart from that, it's a solid choice.

I've been using Waze for years. Questionable routes sometimes that it wants me to take when I know shorter ones... not sure why the software is so adamant about taking me down back roads that add multiple minutes when I'm looking for the quickest route. One star lost for that issue. The other star loss is because dark mode DOES NOT work. This is especially burdensome and dangerous when driving with Android Auto, it's literally blinding having the map/guide up.

I love the clean interface, customization options (like ease of changing the voice), hazard reporting, but it's still deficient so I'll uninstall for now. 1-I want to see the speed limit without my speed. My car already has a speedometer! 2-Why can't I change minutes to miles in the navigation? "Continue on route 287 for 25 minutes" means nothing to me. I want to know how many miles I need to drive. 3-How do I turn off "recent"? I don't want the app to remember anything.
