National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) and The Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) have formally signed a PKR 12.5 Billion Zone Development Agreement marking a transformative addition to Pakistan's Special Technology Zones landscape with specific focus on High-Tech Production. #NRTC, designated as a special technology zone, proudly features a purpose-built facility for high-tech #production of information and communication technologies, biomedical technologies, agritech, robotics, power and artificial intelligence enabled internet of things (IOT) solutions. NRTC also produces high-end technology products for the #defence sector.   The progress of this pivotal project has been significantly accelerated through the strategic support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) which has identified #STZA as a central pillar in its economic strategy.   Spanning across 46.88 acres of land, NRTC's operational facility in Haripur boasts high-quality tech infrastructure. This zone is expected to catalyze a significant expansion of high-tech capabilities, thereby enhancing both the technological landscape and economic vitality of the region. Following this agreement, STZA has officially verified and licensed NRTC facility to lead the development of a cutting-edge technology ecosystem, positioning it as a pivotal platform for indigenous innovation, exports growth, import substitution and job creation.   The official signing #ceremony, held at the STZA Headquarters in Islamabad, brought together the leadership teams of STZA, SIFC, and NRTC, establishing a foundational alliance poised to drive innovation and accelerate growth within the burgeoning national technology industry. The Development Agreement was signed by Mr. Aamer Saleemi (Executive Director/Member Zones and Zone Developer, STZA) and Brig Muhammad Asim Ishaque (Managing Director, NRTC). The ceremony was graced by Mr. Azfar Manzoor (Chairman, STZA), Brig Syed Nadir Hussain Shah SI(M) (Project Director IT & Telecom, SIFC), Mr. Hamza Saeed Orakzai (Chief Market Development Officer, STZA), Ms. Iqra Musaddaq (Chief Legal Officer, STZA), Mr. Muhammad Adil Khan (Chief Financial Officer, NRTC), Mr. Syed Amir Javed (General Manager, NRTC), and Mr. Usman Umer (Chief Internal Auditor, NRTC).

National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) and Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) established Strategic Alliance for a Smart, Safe, and Secure Punjab NRTC is proud to announce a landmark collaboration with the PSCA aimed at ushering in a new era of safety, security, and technological advancement across the province. The contract signing ceremony held at Chief Minister Secretariat, Lahore, marks the beginning of a transformative partnership focused on creating a Smart, Safe, and Secure Punjab. Under the terms of the agreement, initially, NRTC and PSCA will combine their expertise and resources to establish Smart Safe City Project in eighteen (18) cities of Punjab. In this regard, NRTC and PSCA signed a contract in the presence of Chief Minister Punjab, honorable Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The contract was signed by Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Younus, MD PSCA and Syed Amer Javed, GM Commercial from NRTC. During the ceremony, Chief Minister was briefed that Air Quality Index Monitoring Environment Sensors will also be deployed in the cities.   During the ceremony, Senior Minister, Ms. Maryam Aurangzaib, Chief Secretary Punjab, Chairman PND, IGP, Secretary Defense Punjab, Secretary Finance Punjab, Deputy MD NRTC, Brig Muhammad Saleem Arif Retd., Brig Syed Muzaffar Ahmed, Retd, Project Director. PSCA and other officials also attended the ceremony. The contract signing ceremony between NRTC and PSCA represents a significant milestone in the journey towards a Smart, Safe, Secure and prosperous Punjab.

Pakistan's National Radio Telecommunication Corporation has unveiled a new Unmanned Ground combat vehicle. UGCV is armed with an MG-1A3/MG-3 LMG chambered in 7.62×51mm. NRTC came up with another UGCV several years ago, however it was shelved primarily due to its insufficient ground clearance. The new design shares little to no similarities with old design. Exact specifications of the system are unknown.
