Would a projectile launched with the escape velocity reach a final velocity of 0 as time approached infinity?

I just wanted to check my understanding of escape velocity. If a projectile was to launch and have the exact velocity as the escape velocity of the earth, it would have a final velocity of 0 correct? ...

Would running along Earth's Surface at escape velocity cause you to get out of the Earth's gravitational pull? [duplicate]

If one were to run/drive/fly along the earth's surface (by this I mean tangential to the Earth) at escape velocity (about 7 miles per second), would that person escape the gravitational pull? If not, ...

While finding escape velocity, does human mass counts as the mass of Earth?

Escape velocity depends upon the mass of earth. my doubt is whether human mass adds into it or not? If it add then Earth's escape velocity would be increasing!
