Why 8 am is darker than 12 pm?
Why is 8 am (just after sunrise) darker than 12 pm (noon)? Does it have something to do with the geometry of spheres? Or is it due to the atmosphere?

Why does the Sun turn red near sunset?
At daytime the Sun's light is yellowish if not near white. Why when the Sun starts to go down that it's light turn more red. I don't think the earth's rotation is so rapid to cause a red shift.
