1$\begingroup$ I just noticed this statement: "White light contains every colour". That is not correct. For example, there is no brown in white light, yet our brain considers it a colour. Brown is a red with some green and blue mixed in. $\endgroup$– hdhondtCommented Apr 16, 2017 at 6:11
