  • $\begingroup$ The thinner the slab, the smaller the deviation angle. It's not the ray that's deviating it's the wavefront. Each individual ray in the wavefront is traveling at different speeds through the medium causing the wavefront to change angle $\endgroup$ Commented Mar 7 at 18:32
