  • $\begingroup$ Thank you for pointing out the importance of perception. It's interesting to point out the extreme flexibility our brain has for adapting the perception of white. If you look at a white piece of paper on a cloudy day and under candlelight, you'll perceive it as white in both cases even though the spectral output will be vastly different. $\endgroup$ Commented Jan 18, 2022 at 4:58
